This DVD covers Pin Tumbler Locks and does an excellent job in explaining how they work and how they can be picked.

The picture and sound quality are fine. The DVD starts with an explanation of how Pin tumbler locks work which is shown clearly with cut-away locks and also pin stacks alone which is a good way for the beginner to see the function of the key.

The DVD then goes on to explain pick types and tension tools and then a good explanation and demonstration of picking by hook/lifter pick – individual pin stack picking.

The techniques of scrubbing and raking are then explained.

The DVD then moves on to techniques with the Lock Gun and Electric Pick before ending with a method to open some padlocks.

All in all a very good DVD.

The only parts that I would say it was lacking in was that security pins were not mentioned. Also, the DVD only touched on Pin Tumbler locks. However, what was explained was explained very well in a clear and concise way which covered the basics extremely well.

If a second DVD was ever produced by the same teacher, covering security pins and other locks and additional techniques and methods then I would certainly purchase it.

For the beginner I would definitely recommend this. Similarly, for the intermediate student I would say it is well worth a look.
